Our vacation has come to an end. We enjoyed each of the cities that we visited. Pictures from each city are included on our webpage now, with our tour of Alcatraz in San Francisco getting its own page. As for riding the train, we would recommend it to anyone who would like a relaxing method of transit. Not good for those who have extreme type A personalities - you really have to be flexible with arrival times (our trip from Utah to San Francisco had a 10 hour delay) and not in a hurry to get from one place to another. The train is very comfortable, though, even without the luxury of sleeping accommodations.
School starts for the boys at the end of August. Suzanne also starts preparations for school then with classes starting after Labor Day.
